Churches & Ministries Have Different Marketing Rules

Jesus Christ is not toothpaste. The boundaries of marketing consumer goods do not form the boundaries of attracting people to your church or donors to your ministry. We in the body of Christ are held to a higher standard. Church marketing is about following the Spirit of the Lord for your church or ministry and utilizing all the tools of media and technology in the pursuit thereof.

What works for one church may not work for your church. Why? It is our experience, having worked with some of the largest churches in America and some of the smallest ministries, that your marketing plan is nothing more than the vision birthed in the heart of the leader translated to strategies and tasks. It is also our experience that many of the bigger and smaller pieces of this vision, ie, calling, lay dormant in the hearts and spirits of the Pastor, his wife, and the leaders and staff at your church or ministry. Real church/ministry marketing helps to answer the calling. It helps to fulfill the next level for your ministry. And one thing is for sure - no matter where you are now, God is calling you and your church and ministry to "come higher."

As your Internet traffic goes, so goes your ministry.  As the quantity and quality of your email database goes, so goes your ministry.  As the hearts and spirits of your staff go, so goes your ministry.  Church Marketing is different.  Don't forget the high calling to which we are all called.
